Once again in the pages which follow there are expressed the views of some of the greatest living authorities on subjects on which they are recognised experts. To all of them I am indebted. l also wish to express my thanks to Mr. Albert Gamett, the aviary attendant at Linton- holme, with whom I have discussed on innumerable occasions every phase of Budgerigar breeding, management and exhibiting. And just as I did sixteen years ago in the Preface tothe first edition, so now I heartily thank those good fanciers resident in the West Riding of Yorkshire who have become such true friends of mine, in addition to Budgerigar lovers all over the world whom I have met or with whom I have corresponded during the very many years in which I have been so intimately associated with this delighduI Parakeet. I thank them for their understanding and co-operation on all occasions. It was indeed a fortunate day for me when I was persuaded to buy my wife two pairs of Budgies.
