About the Author.
Mrs Dorothy Dearn began breeding pekingese in 1947 after losing her last wire fox terrier.
The Prefix DORODEA was obtained in 1951 and the prefix has been recognised in many countries for the pekingese who have carried this name including World Champions. Mrs Dearn commenced judging in 1959, eventually judging all breeds at open shows and Best in show at these events, and finally judging many toy breeds at champion show level, including toy groups. She has judged at Crufts and in many countries at top level.
In administration Mrs Dearn has served as secretary for a general society for 26 years, a breed club for sixteen years, and as an official for a group championship show for 17 years and serving Kennel Club councils gaining experience for all sides
of dog breding and the promotion of Shows.
