Essentially it is a very clear and well laid out publication. The maps are very legible and the text information is consistent. The photographs are excellent. Generally there are usually two or more photographs of each species. It is a pleasure to read and provides a different perspective from the many admittedly high quality Southern African guides which rely on artwork, rather than photographs. Ian Sinclair (who is one of Africa's foremost field birders and who incidentally originates from Northern Ireland) and Peter Ryan have done a really excellent job with this Guide. Highly Recommended.
