This book is great on the history of the breed. In fact, that is its strength. The first chapter gives a history of the breed in it homeland; chapters 2-7 deal with the breed in other countries, including information on famous award winning dogs. The eighth chapter gives the breed standards. Nine and ten are useful on purchasing a dog and caring for a puppy -- these chapters tell some of its temperment. Then, the final five chapters go back to dog shows, talking of obedience, breeding, and traveling.
