Originally published as a picture guide to the various breeds of poultry and their colours is was first published for the Centenary of the Poultry Club in 1977.
This revised edition contains much more information on colour.
It has more knowledge on genetics, the inheritance of colour is better understood but still the experienced fancier is the one which is able to produce and improve the complex and varied patterns found in many breeds.
There is monochrome illustrations which show the shape and type of the different breeds. The book provides information on a great many aspects of colour and should be invaluable to all who wish to understand the many breeds now in existence both large fowl and bantams.
